Camp Sunshine

In its eighth year, Camp Sunshine donated $6,250 to The Allison Brundick Haramis Foundation. Camp Sunshine is organized, hosted and run by high school students from across Jacksonville. This week-long day camp held at a private residence hosts around 30 girls ranging in age from 5 to 10. The camp continues to be an opportunity for young women to lead as well as a great display of servant leadership and charitable giving at a young age.

Sunshine Spread to Sanctuary on 8th Street

Thank you to The Delores Barr Weaver Legacy Fund for sponsoring an opportunity to take Camp Sunshine into the community we serve. The Delores Barr Weaver Legacy Fund sponsored a week-long day camp for girls at Sanctuary on 8th Street which was run by area high school girls and Angels for Allison volunteers. Activities included cooking activities, dance parties, water slides, MOSH visit, River Taxi tour and more and served as a reflection of Allison’s joyous spirit and passion for helping others.

During the camp, local high school students worked with the girls at Sanctuary on 8th Street to create a beautiful mural reflecting the building’s history as a post office and its surrounding community. This piece of art on the east wall features a mail woman delivering notes of Sanctuary values to children.

We love Scouts BSA!

The Allison Brundick Haramis Foundation has been the beneficiary of multiple Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout service projects. Eagle Scout is the highest achievement or rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program of the Boy Scouts of America. Most recently, an Eagle Scout candidate raised money and resources to carpet our office.
